His Birthday

The day starts special and bright 

Lets put on the twinkle lights and dance away tonight!

Why? - you might ask

What is the special task?


Well, well! Look who has come out of his room!

The air is filled with whose perfume?

Nature is in its full bloom!

Coz there he is standing, no need to zoom!


Lots of love that he has in his heart

And, a big temper up his cart!

But when the smile passes out of his lips

Even the most tough soul, trips!


When he stands tall

There is no way, someone could fall!

For in his arms, he would hold

He has a heart made of pure gold!


He thinks I do not understand him

Hence he keeps his lights dim!

For maybe I would play

And one fine day, I would drift away..


All he needs to do is just believe

That I would not leave.

Although he finds it difficult to perceive

But actually, a sense of relief he could heave!


Let today be a beginning of a new life

Lets not convince ourselves, we are walking on a double edged knife!

Lets see the bright side and open our eyes

Let us show each other the fire that burns within our inside!


In last few years, together we grew

Still many things between us, are very new

Fights, let us make it, few

Love, Happy birthday to you!!

Axomia - the cultural heart!

Axomia or Assamese as we are popularly know as in English! Axom has a very rich culture. Not many people outside the state are aware of the beauty and culture of this pragmatic section of people. Here I mention some distinctive terms associated with Asom and Axomia people, in general! Bihu - "Otikoi Senehor Mugare Mekhela, Otikoi Senehor Maku, Tatukoi Senehor Rongali Bihuti, Napaati Kenekoi Thaku" No doubts when we hear the word Bihu, only Asom comes to our minds. Bihu is like one of the trademarks of Asom. Bihu is the main festival of Asom. Assamese - the language and its dialects

The rich state of Asom sees mainly Assamese being spoken by the people here. Assamese in fact has two main dialects, namely Kamrupia and Goalpariya. This is just a brief on both the dialects of Assamese language. Kamrupia - The Kamrupia dialect is the oldest and the very first ancient Aryan literary language spoken by the people residing in the Barak valley. The Kamrupia dialect in itself has four main dialects! The four dialects that comprises the Kamrupia dialect are - Barpetiya, Nalbariya, Kamrupi and South Kamrupi.  Barpetia - Spoken mainly by the people from Barpeta district, Barpetia dialect is used by a large section of people in Assam.  Nalbaria - The Nalbaria dialect is mostly spoken by the people of the Nalbari district of Assam.  Kamrupia - this dialect is spoken by the major segment of people in Assam.
