 The Pandemic that took the world down, Could'nt manage to give us a frown! The year was all about classes from home No other option, but good use of Chrome! In math, we started with division, this year To be very true, it didnt give us any reason to cheer! Science taught us about germination, Nothing could ever sway our determination! English had a lot of grammar The online classes witnessed a lot of clamour. Pronoun and adjective, verb and noun We learnt about the clown and painted the town! Art classes took us to new form called Warli We enjoyed drawing the lines and curves, surely! Yoga classes taught us the names and bends But, let me assure you, life is all about, the good old friends! Star of the year that we got awarded Mommy and daddy got us rewarded!! Finally the one tour that we took To Lucknow and Varanasi, we were hooked! Sarees and dresses that we got from there, We have over used our monetary share! The new year we started with lunch at the Taj We also got ourselves ...

The day starts special and bright   Lets put on the twinkle lights and dance away tonight! Why? - you might ask What is the special task? Well, well! Look who has come out of his room! The air is filled with whose perfume? Nature is in its full bloom! Coz there he is standing, no need to zoom! Lots of love that he has in his heart And, a big temper up his cart! But when the smile passes out of his lips Even the most tough soul, trips! When he stands tall There is no way, someone could fall! For in his arms, he would hold He has a heart made of pure gold! He thinks I do not understand him Hence he keeps his lights dim! For maybe I would play And one fine day, I would drift away.. All he needs to do is just believe That I would not leave. Although he finds it difficult to perceive But actually, a sense of relief he could heave! Let today be a beginning of a new life Lets not convince ourselves, we are walking on a double edged knife! Eight is what we are now Come on everybody, take a bow! Oh! Spare us the horror Don’t ask us how? Corona that hit this year Burnt our heart and our rear!  😜 Life came to a halt all of a sudden Everyday it felt, like a new burden. But then we recovered well And decided to ring the happiness bell. For we cannot keep a frown Although we could not hit out of the town. Within the four walls, with ma and pa We started our dances and singing la-la! Carrom and chess, piano and guitar Whatsapp and facebook, Insta and Twitter! Thats how we started to enjoy our days And out came the bright sun rays. Weather, be it gloomy or sun Could no longer hold us from having fun. Baking and Icing, cooking and cleaning  We started focusing, only on winning. Computers we started, Coding was fun Apps after apps, we made on the run! Vaccine is what we are all waiting on Let’s hope it arrives before all are gone! The virus that’s new In manifolds it grew! Starting in China, and spreading its tentacles world wide It has taken everyone on one dangerous ride! Corona is its name And, it has got all desired fame; Must say, the people are really lame Please understand, its no tic-tac-toe game!! What is its origin, what is the cure No scientist has no clue, they ain’t not sure. The doctors and nurses are helping the patients endure People’s safety is their prime concern and that they quite ensure. The police and government are doing their best Can we at least ensure we do the rest? The minimum that’s required from us is just to stay indoors And, bring a halt to the trend that now seeing up soars! Little bit of ache, cough and fever Almost like flu, but corona is the cager; No other virus could push the world behind door Its impacting both, the rich and the poor. My kid is in class 1 of a renowned school in Bangalore. We started with this because it was closer to our place. Not that we had a great feedback about it. We thought, a school is a school. And a teacher is a teacher, a guru - someone worthy of respect. Alas, our whole concept of school and teacher had turned 180 degree up and down once we got to know the ground realities of this school. We started with JKG. The teacher started showing colors right from the first term. My kid had been a sharp kid. The very first couple of months into the school, I saw her performance degrading. During the first PTM, I checked with the other parents how their kids were doing. Everyone had the same idea that their kids were only getting worse. CAB: the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, passed in December 2019. The Parliament of India amended the Citizenship Act of 1955 to grant a citizenship status to the Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, who entered India before 31st of December 2014.
