Over, it is!

Too much everything is bad. My mom used to tell us this often. And over the years, I have learn that its true. Be it too much of goodness or evil. Too much of light makes us appreciate darkness. And when lights are off for much longer time,we learn to appreciate the light! Thank heavens, he maintained a sync in everything!!

IPL - the Indian Premier League, professional T20 cricket league started way back in 2007. It started with eight teams. IPL is the attended by a vast number of people and is ranked sixth among all the sports league. Such is the craze of IPL that people even follow it on other platforms like youtube!

IPL is mostly a money-making union! The organizers make money, the players make money, the channels make money. Who loses money really? The people, the common people. After all people pay to see the matches! Apart from them everyone makes money.

MS Dhoni, the highest paid player in 2007-08. Price paid was $1.25 million. This numbers kept increasing over the last ten years. The player bought at the maximum price ever was Yuvraj Singh in 2015. Price tag was $2.67 million. Its so much of money involved!

However, IPL is one thing that never attracted my attention apart from the money part. In spite of being such a cricket crazy fan, IPL failed to draw my engrossment. I always had little different thoughts. I had the feeling that IPL is just dividing the nation into places. People are now more concerned about their team winning instead of the country winning. And same is with the players maybe. They are already making so much money in IPL. So what if they do not win matches for India in the International series? There is no dearth of money!

So many controversies involved in these IPL too. Who kissing who, who is the lucky charm, who  slapped whom, who cried on the field,   who is evil! O God! Please spare us the horror.

IPL takes over India in April -May. This year too it was no different. But yesterday was such a relief. It ended. With Pune SuperGiants losing the finals to Mumbai Indians by just 1 run, came an end to IPL 2017. Such a relief it is. Now there would be no more talks on who's playing who, which player should have bowled well, who should have fielded well. No more traffic jams! I am glad its over; at least for a year now.

Too much of cricket is bad too!!! Until I write more, stay blessed!
